Every Saturday night four churches come together, bring a meal large enough for the whole centre and play a movie. They created a small slide show, so you can see what happens on Saturday nights!

Housing projects key to ending chronic homelessness

Re: "Do addicts belong in your neighbourhood?; Edmonton plan to house homeless poses tough questions for residents, councillors," by David Staples, Dec. 7.

David Staples put forward an excellent summary of the issues that we as a community need to consider as we move into the next stage of Edmonton's 10-year Plan to End Homelessness: housing those with intensive needs.

Students and teachers at Hillcrest Junior High School came together this winter season and created a school wide project that would help their community - a clothing drive. They were quite successful and we are so thankful for all of the clothing/winter gear that was donated!

Their hard work is keeping many people warm this winter season!
