Founder and Executive Director,

Murray Soroka


Born and raised in Edmonton, he is a husband and a father of two. Before opening JPHAWC Murray was a successful small business owner. He is passionate about his work and is motivated to see his community change for the better.  

Kevin Doiron


Kevin is likely the first person to greet you when you come to the centre. Kevin knows every client that comes into the centre by name and tries to establish relationship with each person.

Sue Rounding


Affectionately known to centre regulars as “Momma Sue”, Sue is our family advocate. Sue is a representative of Health for Two, and facilitates a weekly community family group.  Sue acts as a liaison between the centre and many of our partner agencies. In addition, Sue helps co-ordinate our many volunteers, schedules lunches and keeps our kitchen running smoothly.


Terri Wagner


Terri is the JPHAWC administrator. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, she helps clients with resumes, job searches, and referrals to other social service agencies. She co-ordinates our annual “Make Tax Time Pay” event, and provides income tax preparation on a continual basis.

Scotti Coles


Scotti has been part of JPHAWC from the beginning serving clients and establishing the Centre’s programs. A family man first Scotti is a man of integrity, faith and service. Scotti’s main responsibility is leading our housing first team.

Kyle Soroka

Kyle Soroka is the property manager of our supported housing building Canora Place. From managing 30 different units in Canora to dreaming of seeing more buildings like this throughout the city Kyle loves what he does.

Robyn Maskell


Robyn Maskell has been working with JPHAWC since May 2011. Robyn enjoys working with people and making a difference in their lives. She brings her creativity and zest for life to the workplace. In her free time she enjoys art, swimming, tattoos and most importantly her family.


Nick Rafters


Brent Zuurdeeg


Working as a follow up support worker with a history of counselling addictions, and employment competency.

Brent is a passionate worker with connections to many communities and their well being.

Jon Burk


Jon Burk has been a part of the jasper place health and wellness centre for the past two and a half years.

Jon and a few others helped map out the housing outreach position.

 Jon is a passionate young man who believes that grace and love can change the world around him.  



Brett Corpe


I'm passionate about my family, friends, all people and about the outdoors.  Love playing sports and photography.

Kevin Beskowine


Kevin strives to be a man of integrity, faith and someone who shows love in all that he does.

Kevin has been blessed with the opportunity to minister and be ministered to by the homeless community since November of 2010.

As for sports he loves soccer, golf and tennis but most of all loves spending time with people in hopes of growing together.


Sharon Reid


Sharon has a passion for working with underprivileged people. She has been on staff with JPHAWC since 2008 as well as actively involved as a volunteer with local inner city agencies for 15 years.


Jordan Batty


Jordan Kathleen Batty has been working in the Human Services field since 2005 with a background in access to justice and the criminal legal system. Jordan brings a passion for empathetic client-focused work to the Housing First team. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys and training for local triathlon races.


Alex Rho


Alex is a member of the Housing First Team at JPHAWC.  

Being a driven man, coupled with his passion for the work he does has allowed Alex to be a positive impact in the lives of those he works with.  He is passionate about three things; his work, serving in the church, and his family.  

Yvonne Ages


Yvonne has been working as a Follow Up Support for more than two years. She enjoys working with her clients who have been homeless. She likes helping them make their house a home , as well as moving them

toward independent living.

Scott Reid

I joined JPHAWC back in 2007 as a volunteer; then in the "Winter Warming Program" as a part time staff ( while in school ). I attended General Studies at Grant MacEwan & have a Social Work Diploma focusing on multi-culturalism from NorQuest. I am now employed as the Support Coordinator for Canora Place.

Claudette Schuchuk


Passionate about ending homelessness. Claudette brings compassion, empathy to those in need and empowers them to reach their full potential.  

Tariq Bennett


Tariq brings to our team over 10 years of experience working and interacting in the Human Services Industry and with our clientele.

Andrea Hamilton


Andrea grew up in small towns, is friendly and genuinely cares about people  including those who struggle. She has also struggled and loves that the bible says that "with whatever measure you have been comforted, you will comfort another".


Tom Cunningham


I enjoy my work as a follow up support worker. Family, friends, community and music are my most important attachments.

Amy Wagner


Amy Wagner comes to Jasper Place Health and Wellness with a background in Education and experience teaching Junior and Senior High School.

Amy started as a Follow Up Support Worker in January 2010 and became Team Lead in April 2011.

Nick Rafters was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.

 He is a housing first staff member with JPHAWC and his passions include God, his family and helping others.
